Image Converter vs other image converter sites
Image converters are where free tiers go to shrink: tiny file caps, three conversions a day, watermarks on a JPG. Image Converter converts JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP and AVIF at up to 200 MB — and edits too.
| Image Converter | other image converter sites | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free — supported by one short ad before each job | Often “freemium”: the first job is free, then subscriptions and credits appear |
| Sign-up | None — no account exists | Often required before repeat or advanced jobs |
| Watermarks | Never — output is the clean file | Common on free tiers; removing them is a classic upsell |
| Upload limit | 200 MB per file | Free tiers typically cap uploads well below 200 MB |
| Daily caps | No per-day job counter; fair-use rate limits apply | Free tiers commonly limit jobs per day |
| Your files | Processed in a temp folder, deleted the moment you download | Varies — retention is often unclear or account-based |
| Tools in one place | 33 tools on this one site | Usually one job per site — a relay of uploads for a chain of jobs |
Convert, then finish the job
Resizing, compressing (including to a target file size), rotating, filters, sharpening, meme text and EXIF inspection sit next to the converter, so the usual five-tab relay collapses into one visit.
No conversion counting
There is no “2 of 3 free conversions used” meter here. Standard tools have no per-day job counter; one short ad per job is the whole model.
The honest bit
The honest concession: the giant image sites convert more exotic formats (medical, CAD, raw camera variants) and some offer AI upscaling we do not. Desktop editors beat every website for layered, non-destructive work. For converting and finishing everyday images — fast, free, uncounted — those are not the deciding factors.

FAQ
Does converting lose quality?
One conversion at the default high-quality settings is visually faithful for normal photos. Lossy-to-lossy chains (JPG to JPG repeatedly) are what degrade images — convert from the best original you have.
Can I shrink an image to an exact size for an upload form?
Yes — the image compressor can target a maximum file size in KB and iterates quality (and dimensions if needed) until the file fits.
